Drone photography and videography can offer a fantastic way to showcase spaces and places. Unusual views are the ones which capture people’s attention, and those that we can’t see from ground level are often some of the most eye-catching.
Take a look at my drone showreel above to see some of my recent work.
Drone shoots take a little more planning and preparation to ensure each flight is carried out safely, efficiently and within UK Government and CAA laws. As such, drone shoots take a little more time to plan and can cost a little more.
Before each drone shoot, we’ll talk about the project and other factors like the weather, the angles/shots you want and the site we’ll be shooting at. We’ll talk about how we can best get the results and I’ll pull together a risk assessment and shoot plan to make sure we get the best shots possible in the safest, most efficient way.
I’m a fully qualified drone pilot, having completed my A2 Certificate of Competency - which means the Civil Aviation Authority have allowed me to fly drones commercially in the UK. I’m also fully insured for commercial operations. Proof of qualification and insurance are available on request.
My main drone is a DJI Mavic 3. These amazing drones are the perfect balance of portability and great image quality. For video, that means high quality footage at up to 5.2k. For photography, that means a 24-megapixel raw image offering professional results.
I also shoot with a DJI Mini Pro 3 - these tiny drones weigh less than 250g, meaning they can fly in some of the places the bigger drones can’t easily get to, such as in built-up areas. This smaller drone will still shoot 4k video and high quality raw images.
